RS4 / M5
RS4 / M5
I realise that this is not going to get an unbiased response, but would an RS4 B7 be able to keep up with or even whip an M5 (current V10 model)?

RE: RS4 / M5
Simple answer is no. simple mathematics...
500bhp & rwd vs. 420bhp & quattro - great from about 0-40 after that the M5 will just leave it for dead I am sad to say.

Sorry about the bad resolution. I can email a higher resolution copy to anyone that PMs me their email. My point is the times on different tracks.
Rundenzeit = run or I believe lap around named track (Nordshleiife or Hockenheim), Nasshandling = on the wet, ausweichtest comes up in my dictionary as evasion. konkurrenz umfeld is close competitors best I can make out. Anyone please feel free to confirm or correct me.

I've driven an M6 and currently own a B7 RS 4 and the difference in speed is quite noticeable, especially from 60+!
The M6 is a powerhouse and it's a handful in the wet with it's huge amount of power to the rear.
In a straigh line there's no comparison, but around a twistie like the ring then it would be very close.

I still have my suspiscions about some of those original vids - especially the M6 vs. the tuned 996tt!a V10 M5 is very fast....faster than a 550bhp RS4 B5.
Proven in various youtube movies.
I'd say a genuine 550bhp RS4 would be a match, even with drivetrain losses, just look at the power to weight ratio - those new M5's are damn heavy!
