Picked up my rs4 on tuesday... went for a quick spin and noticed that when driving it a little bit hard the clutch was sticking half way when changing gears.... driving a bit hard last night and all of a sudden the clutch pedal went hard.... it cleared up after a while but was doing it on and off....
at the end of the night i parked the car up, switched the engine off and put the car in gear.... when i released the clutch it stayed down, flat to the floor.... tried to pull it up with my foot but wasnt havin none of it.... slowly it released up by itself....pressed it down again and it stayed down.... i just left it and went to bed....

got in the car this morning and the clutch is working but very hard again.... has anyone else occured this problem????

It's quite a common problem with VAG cars so I hear. MyGolf GTI did it twice and has never done it for a year after.

Would have thought it is best to get the dealer to sort it, as it could put you in a nasty position whilst out in traffic.

Driving 'a bit ' hard? hope you've run it in!!

Nas, I think not!!!!!

For your information, on your car Audi are recording your revs, temp etc and I think that if there are any issues, they will throw it back at you.

I'd have to agree...the data logging on the ECU will grass you up if you did not run the car in properly or ragged it from cold. To be honest...if the car is abused like that...the person responsible doesn't deserve their engine warranty as far as I'm concerned.

So that means that all demo cars are warranty void?

The car I drove at Newcastle Audi was run-in by a salesman before it was allowed to be demo'd.
