i-MOB v Auto txt v BT Trackit

This should probably be the Electrical thread but it would be good to get opinions from fellow expectant owners.

Still deliberating over this and I think I need some objective help.

In brief;

i-MOB - The car goes, be it hot wired, key theft or hijack the car texts you and you can text the car and the next time it comes to a halt the engine is switched off by the system and immobilised, horn sounds, hazards flash, thief scarpers. You can locate the car by GPS and at your request a guard sits with it until you get there to reactivate the car by text and drive off. There are several other options but thats it in a nutshell.

Auto txt - When the car is started it looks for a bluetooth handshake from either your preprogrammed phone/PDA etc. or an bluetooth fob (£75 extra) If it doesn't find a signal it bleeps at you to remnd you then after a set period of time if it still can't pair with a device it sends a signal to the Operations Centre. They contact you and you say if the car is stolen or not. On confirmation the car is stolen they ring the police who find the car using GPS instructions from the operations centre (assuming the police are not too busy I imagine) When the vehice is located/being chased the police can give the instruction for the car to be shut down when safe to do so. Couple of problems I see with this, what if they can't catch the car, although the GPS will track the police give the say so to shut it down, will it be before it gets wrapped round a tree? If the operations centre can't contact you they won't declare it stolen until they've clarified it with you. All takes a bit too long for me I think.

BT Trackit - Essentially tracker by BT but with the option for the police to shut the car down at their say so. Although this option is not currently available.

I think its between either i-MOB or Auto txt. Although Tracker still has its good points, it doesn't have the remote shut down facility yet which really appeals to me. It does have the RF signals though which you really need if the cars GPS signal is lost, which less face it, will happen in any garden shed, let alone a container or underground car park. No one else has the RF signals apart from Tracker.

Do I bite the bullet and have tracker retrieve and i-Mob fitted. Thoughts please.

I like the I-Mob, but the Auto-TXT also sounds good. My worry would be they cant get hold of you, becuase your phone is flat or you just poped down the shop and the next thing you have been arrested for taking your own car.
