Clutch issues

Hi All.
I bought a supercharged RS4 about 4 weeks ago. My 3rd B7 so I’m quite familiar with the platform.
The car is in amazing condition and has fantastic history so very unfortunate that im already having issues. The supercharger was installed around 1200 miles ago along with a new flywheel, slave cyclinder and uprated sachs clutch and many other upgrades.
A week ago the clutch pedal went all the way to the floor and never came back up. I was able to pull it back up by hand or my toes, but absolubtly no pressure what so ever after that. No leaks that I could see and the AA tried to bleed the system on the side of the road. It took a tiny bit of fluid in but no change and the car was taken to my local VW/Audi specialist.
They have taken a look and told me that there is no pressure coming from the master cylinder (the only thing not replaced during previous clutch work so it made sense that it be that) and so have replaced it.
After installing that they said that they ‘had half a clutch’ and that there felt like there was some pressure back in the system but that it’s still not working. Now they are wanting to replace the slave, although I’m concerned that will be pointless as the the existing one was installed 2 years ago and 1200 miles ago?
The guy did say that if the slave fails, it can sometime cause the master to fail also. Not sure if that’s true?
Frustratingly they seem to be ignoring my concerns about the clutch lines having explained to them that they are a common fault and that they should keep me updated and I could order a braided line as per some of the threads on here.
They’ve not been great at keeping in touch with me and have just been carrying out the work ( I have to call them for an update) and they’ve racked up way more cost then I was expecting for a master cyclinder replacement (£600 they have said which I think is very punchy). Car broke down at night and I had to get taken to a garage out of hours which has kind of backed me into a corner on that regard!
Any advice on what the issue might be? Could it be swolen/soft lines or should I let them replace the slave first before exploring that?
