Steering upright! Bitch bolts! Wheel bearings, control arms

Hello RS4ers,
So split bushes on the control arms brought up an advisory so i decided to change them out.
Drivers side pinch bolt came out after an hour or so but the inevitable happened on the Near side, bolt sheared, 4 hrs of heating and hitting then stupidly using a G clamp to try and force the pin out cause the upright to crack.
Never mind :(
The question is to change out the upright ill have to almost certainly get a new Wheel bearing as they are pressed in yeah?
If so should i change out both wheel bearings as a good practice? Theres no issues with either at the moment
Or is it worth trying to put the old bearing into the new upright hub?
Shes done 78K.
Any Advice or ridicule accepted
Cheers
Richie

No, you're wasting time and money. If there is no play and noise leave it be.

I put a new bearing in on the new upright, but you're probably right as there was nowt wrong with the old bearing.

What control arms did you go for? I need to do my uppers on both sides and tossing up between Meyle or Lemforder, I can get a full set of Meyle for the price of just the uppers in Lemforder.

I used meyle hd were brilliant
watch out for the low torque setting for the new pinch bolt...also only tighten the arm bolts when weight of car on strut-there are exact measurements on the web

i got the parts from Ebay

Meyle link set
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203304891788

Steering knuckle
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334264227361

and as rs user says i tightened the arm bolts with the car down but access was very limited, i couldnt get a torq wrench in so i used my best judgement!
