Gents
I have the dreaded intermittent volume problem, sometimes when I go to lower the volume it increases in volume rather than turning the sound down, I have read numerous threads where they mention a company called OE electronics who can repair the unit but they are no longer trading, I found a company on line called VAG retrofits, has anyone used them and what are they like? I have read mixed reviews!

http://www.vagretrofits.co.uk/

Another company I have found is satnavsystems again has anyone’s heard or used them.

https://www.satnavsystems.com/

Has anyone found another company that can fix the problem?

Cheers in advance

John

I’ve used satnavsystems several times. They fitted my reverse camera, my rnse2 and AMI. They moved my wife’s folding dimming mirrors from her old A5 to her S5, also her memory seats and reverse camera.

Their work is faultless. Highly recommend them.

Thanks for that I know they said send it in and they will look at it for me, just a pity OE electronics went pop as they seemed the place to go

They are very good specifically with VAG.

VAG retrofits quoted me £89 to fix plus a handbook whereas Hazzydayz quoted me £275 + VAT both have said the issue will be with the front bottom button electronics board assembly which needs replacing.
