So bought the car a few months back. All was peachy on the wobble front. Completed my first "off road" race against an m3 without any care past 150mph.
The car came with spare standard wheels with 2 good tyres, the wheels on the car had 2 good tyres. So did the swap. Had nothing but wobble ever since.
Got them rebalanced. Swapped onto the old wheels and back again
front to back. Back to front. Was almost about to buy new tyres thinking they may be out of round when I came across a tiny bit of info about wheels not sitting right on spacers. So here it is all I did to fix my wobble was fit the wheels correctly
. I noticed at the tyre Shop that some of the studs had been tight going in for the guy and when I swapped front to back noticed a similar random tightness on a few. So tutorial on fitting wheels. Mount the wheel with all studs finger tight. Use a ratchet extension with socket. Now try and rotate wheel in forward reverse while watching the hub. There is a tiny bit of movement. Its at this point continue the trying to rotate while tightening the studs a little bit at a time thus making 100% the wheel is centred. Keep going round each stud till the wheel doesn't move anymore. Torque to spec.
