Help needed - Swapping comfort seats for wingbacks

Hey guys

Finally got a set of wingbacks for my RS4

Removing my comfort spec seats (with airbags) and replacing them with the wingbacks (no airbags) will pose the issue of the yellow airbag plug not being used and the dashboard airbag warning light coming up.

I've read about the resistors being put in to get around this. Where can I get the correct resistors from? My main concern is that I would not want this to affect the other airbags in the car, can anyone confirm this?

I also have a spare RS4 that previously had wingbacks in so I have access to the complete wiring loom as spares if swopping the looms are a better option?

Thanks for any advice

Following as I’m in the same process and interested in knowing how this was addressed by others

As a side note you also have the passenger occupancy sensor that will need to either be swapped from your confort seat to the other or I think it can be coded out.

Also make sure you swap your seatbelt buckles from the comfort to the others and finally theres also some coding needed to make the bolsters inflate when you press the S button

So the wingbacks won't have the passenger occupancy sensor in it? If it's coded out does it mean that the car doesn't recognize when there is a passenger in the seat and won't deploy the airbag if needed?

Are the seatbelts not the same?

Thanks for the help

No they won’t have it as there is no airbag in these seats as you mention so no sensor needed, I do know one of my buddies swapped his passenger occupancy sensor over and the seat belt buckle is part of the system (refer to attached picture)

The resistors he used are the following

And this is the write up that I’m aware off

And finally the seat belts are the same but I remember when I did a comfort seat swap for another set of comforts, I was getting a code when I scanned the car that the seat buckles weren’t identified or something along that line and someone mentioned to me that I had to swap the buckles

Lets see if anyone else pitches in with some additional ideas Image

Having crashed my RS without passengers, i know that both airbags deployed so you don’t need to worry about that part.
