Hello everybody.

I would like to ask for some help.
I am swapping my old Audi 80 Quattro engine with the RS4 B7 4.2 BNS engine and i have the following issue.
The MED 9.1 ECU get`s the vehicle speed signal from the ABS unit through the CAN network. As my car is to old to have CAN i wonder if there is a way to have this engine work without limp mode.
Can someone tell me if the MED 9.1 ECU needs the vehicle speed signal in order for the engine to function properly ?
Will the engine be in limp mode or limited functionality without the VSS signal ?
Can the VSS signal and the relevant fault code be coded out from the ECU so it will not ask for it ?

Thank you for your answer but that device will not send the VSS signal through CAN, it will send it directly to the ECU and the ECU doensn`t have a direct input pin for VSS.
