B7 vs Deer

Post by JRG1210 » Fri Oct 16, 2020 2:12 pm

Hi All...

After spending close to 2k on the car in the last week (decoke, manifold flap delete, new spark plugs and refurb'd wheels all over) I hit a deer last night..... no words.

could be alot worse... but here is the damage.. if anyone happens to know what parts i'll need i'd appreciate it!

lower right grill?, headlight washer cover?...

Cheers!

if its had a fair wee thump the bumper adjuster tends to break at the bottom-you should be able to see if you look hard enough

Part number for the light surround/grille is 8E0807682E 3FZ, I had to get a new one last week after mine went walkabout. Was about £50 on eBay

Oh dear

Seriously, you're very lucky as it could have been a lot worse as you say. Just fix it and move on. Always painful especially after getting your car mint.

deer-one of the reasons i gave up biking...that and poorer road surfaces/other driver awareness
loads deer where we are, foxes too-not many badgers-nobody seems to teach them the highway code at school!

looks an easy fix-fortunately

I hit a deer on the motorway in my B8 after only 2 months of having it. Broke my bumper in 3 places and dented my bonnet. Got it repaired at an Audi approved bodyshop and paid for it myself. Didn't want to go through my insurance. Was gutted.
