Most Desirable RS4 Spec?

So for the last 6.5 years I've owned a lovely B5 RS4, it's been an absolute pleasure, but I've also always had a hankering for a B7 RS4 too.
The B5 has been used as a daily driver but now that it's appreciating, and parts availability is becoming more difficult then it has not made so much sense to rack up the miles on it. Hence for the last couple of years the B5 has been on a limited mileage policy and has been used as a summer car only.
I don't really want to sell the B5, and had we got space for a 4th car I'd certainly keep it, but I would also love a B7 and with values of the B7's seemingly quite a bit less than the B5's now I though it might be a good time to make the change. With a B7 I could then have an RS4 as a daily driver again, safe in the knowledge that parts availability is still good. That said I'm not dead set on a B7 yet though. Other things I'm considering right now range from a 997 Carrera 4, right through to a Lotus Evora.
I'm going to loosely keep my eyes peeled though for good B7's in the Classifieds, and with this in mind what are the most desirable options and spec in the B7? I presume wingbacks are popular? I personally much prefer black to silver leather. I'm not personally bothered by sat-nav as I've always found my phone far better than any in car stuff. What about colours? Colour is personal preference sure, but generally what colours are considered to be the most desirable in the B7 range? Any other options that I should be aware of?

Flat bottom wheel and carbon pack. Auto lights and wipers. Ceramics (hard to find).
Regarding colours. Daytona, phantom and sprint are up there although the most desirable are the exclusive colours. Imola, merlin etc.

Yes Avant is a must for us due to the dog. Isn't the flat bottom steering wheel standard fit?

Good choice Andy. They're faster too.
No, there's also a 'comfort' one which moves the sport button to the dashboard and gives you some buttons to control audio etc.

I thought the "carbon pack" was what came on the car as standard and anything else, like the brushed ali was the optional extra?

From memory, carbon was the standard inlay option but you could choose from matt aluminum, myrtle wood (!) and piano black inlays as no charge options.

The Imolas tend to only be desirable to people looking at them, not people buying them. They sit for ages waiting for a buyer. But they are rare.
I love them but I’m biased because I own one

I've seen a cherry black version in the museum in Ingolstadt and that was pretty special. Had ceramics, exclusive interior too. Shame it was LHD.

There is at least one cherry black Avant in the UK, right hand drive. Can't remember what interior it had though.

I waited ages for the right avant to come up, it has:
Daytona paint
Black optics
Black headlining
Factory tints
SS+
Rear blinds
Flat bottom steering wheel
Buckets
Carbon trim
Tech pack auto wipers/lights and coming home lights
Armrest
Would have liked a sunroof and ceramics too but I’d probably still be looking now.

All good stuff, thanks. Do we know roughly how many of each colour were made? For the B5's then Avus is by far the most popular (or common depending on what your take is). There's quite a lot less of the other colours. What's it like with the B7?

There's a cherry black avant down here in Cornwall not far from me. Has ceramics too

That sounds like a nice combo!
