Hello everyone, 2 months ago I bought an RS4 B7, and one thing that surprised me (negatively) was the strange hum that comes out of the engine when you rev it, it's like a Kompressor

In this video clearly you can hear the sound what i mean (is not my car, but the sound is identical)

The question is, is this hum normal?

Something to do with the ancillaries being gear driven I think

Yes but the thing is, i´m watching videos and all, more or less have the same kind of humming...

For that i want to confirm with a real user from this forum if that is normal and its all okay, or my car (and 25 cars more on YouTube) have a real problem with that.

I think what the previous poster was saying is that it is normal for all cars.

Yes totally normal. Mine sounds exactly the same... From the front... I need to do a resonator delete!

ok, thanks for the replies. I have the resonator delete and from the front, it still hearing a lot the humming. Its a little bit frustrating to hear that kind of kompresor sound because cover the real beutiful sound of the car...

Yep mines the same and I love the mechanical sound it makes that along with the resonator delete

All RS4 B7's have a mechanical whine
