Ideal tyre pressure

I've been running mine at 32psi front and rear which feels good but the orange tyre pressure light is constantly on
What is the lowest pressure I can get away with that won't trigger the orange light?
I thought there was something wrong with it as 32 is ok in my book, but the garage set them to 39 front and 36 rear which is way too harsh a ride IMO

I'm sure the spec is 38psi front & 35psi rear for 255/35/19's. The chart is in the drivers door sill, not sure what the lowest setting is right enough?
I would've thought if you run tyre pressures lower than manufacturer spec you'd get uneven tyre wear?

I run 36 all round and don’t get warnings.
Cheers

You can get away with a lot, b/c, IIRC, you can modify the warning thresholds of the TPMS, e.g. using
VCDS, or the in-car setup.
Ignoring the manufacturer's recommendations towards lower pressure is, I would claim, at your own peril though.

You can set the pressures your happy with them store them in the menu and then you won't get the warnings coming on.

Wear is almost irrelevant. Note that too low a pressure is a major cause of blow outs. The tyres compress and flex too much in use and get too hot and burst. People incorrectly think too high a pressure is the problem.
Tyre pressure is not just some arbitrary thing one should choose. It’s set by the oem for a reason and they even go to the lengths of setting it according to load level of the car.
The
Sticker on the car is what one should follow. There’s even an 18 inch spec if you want more comfort and willing to change wheel size for it.

I run 40psi front/back with 275/30/19, and good wear.
