Helloooo!

I am getting pee’d off with this gap below the centre of my bonnet, pretty sure that is not supposed to be like that, although half the rs4’s I see have it...... is there anyway to fix this without taking it to a body Shop??

Many thanks

I would say the gap on yours is fairly small. Mine is on the larger side and waiting until it goes to MRC before doing anything about it. There’s a screw type stop either side of the grill that the bumper sits on and it’s these that you need to adjust to reduce the gap.

Cheers

What on earth is going on with that plate?! You are definitely getting a full house on the illegal plate score card there!! Begging to have your butt shafted by a bored copper in a bad mood:

I haven’t seen a police car in our town since 2017, should be ok for a bit 😂

Regardless if you get stopped or not, what’s the crack with the spacing?

Cheers

I think you need to slacken off the bolts holding the front bumper on first before turning the adjusters, otherwise they break.

Yeah I'm sure there's a 'how to' on here somewhere. There is a certain amount of adjustment using the two adjusters but I found with mine I also had to slacken off the retaining fixtures for the whole bumper, some of which are in the wheel arches and a pita to get to. Even then I never managed to get it perfect, certainly no better than in the OPs photo!

If you have a search you'll find a couple how tos. May also need to loosen off the headlights. It's a prick of a job, need a long handled torx for it as well.

Yours isn't that bad though. You might get it a little better but likely not a lot.

I’ve had to take mine off a few times, so I’ve gotten quite good at getting it close but I still can’t get it down to the 5mm the manual says it should be. WTF?

It looks like you’re bumper can go up a few mm’s as there’s a gap below the headlights. You’ll need to loosen the 3 headlights screws on each side and all the bumper mounting points before you adjust the bumper. It’s a pain to get right on your own and much easier if you have some help.

Check your pm’s.
