Hi there,

I have an intermittent SAI Error on Bank 2, which Audi mechanics insisted to take the engine out to replace the pump and the hoses and to clean out the exhaust manifold.

This seems a bit excessive given they have only looked at the error code.

My quesiton is, if the pump or hoses are faulty, does it really need to have engine out for the job ??

Remove it along with the aux rad, get it coded out and fit in a cold air feed.

I am keeping the car OE as much as possible, so I don't think that works.

Also I cannot pass MOT where I live with those modifications.
