Mystery switch

Anyone know what this switch does? It’s in the small cubby hole next to the steering wheel.

Have a look at the front of the car. Around by where your number plate is. If you see a couple of black light bars then what you have is police lazar jammers. The switch is to switch it on. The led is to show it is on and the push button is to release the Lazar jam signal. I used to fit something like this.
Current ride’s

It was 2003 whilst I worked for Toad plc (Sextons car audio) that I fitted a few of these. I’ve been out of the game since 2004 so the answer is. They used to work but I’m fcuked if I know now. They were sold as electric garage door openers.

I’ve checked the front but sadly no lazer bars. However there is a disconnected black jack plug hanging behind the grill. Is this what the bars would have connected to?

Yep. Looks like they’ve removed the bars.

If it shuts the Mrs up whilst in the passenger seat, can I buy it from you? Name the price, it will be worth it. :drink:

I’ve got a couple of dirty socks and gaffer tape that does the trick. Call it a tenner inc postage. Pm with your payment details and I’ll post them to ya.
