DRC removal plugs

Post by ouchmyhand » Fri Sep 08, 2017 8:33 am

Hi,

I'm replacing my DRC with Bilstein B14 coil overs.

Does anyone here know where to get reasonably priced plugs to block off the DRC pipes at the shock?
OR
Know the thread specifications so I can get some made?

Is there a guide for complete removal of the redundant DRC bits and pipes?

Thanks.

most people just cut them at the junction bracket[brake pipe, drc etc]
a lot of work removing the whole cars pipework...

You will need 4 of these:

Apparently these female plugs are uncommon size and not easy to find.

I have ordered a few of this plugs from this company but I haven't use them yet as I am still waiting for the "right time" to install the coilovers.

Just remove all DRC related components. It's not very hard. Lines running under the rear chassis are most difficult ones but if you cut them on to few smaller peices they will come out with out dropping the subframe. In all honesty it's an extra few hours of work max. All doable on a drive way for around 6-7 hour providing pinch bolts at the front won't cause you any grief!
