hi, i have a loud fast knocking noise from the front of the car over uneven road surfaces, over speed bumps it fine so more of a side to side movement that makes it knock.
because of this i have fitted coilover suspension but the same noises are still there.
all the front suspension arms have been changed 2 month ago by the previous owner to stop the noise but that never worked.
steering rack,subframe bolts,arb bushes,wheel bearings,all suspension arms,top mounts have all been checked and all found to be perfect.
anyone have any ideas what it could be ? could it be engine mounts very very worn ?
it sounds like a very worn or very loose arb, or maybe top mount type of noise but they have been checked recently.

what coilovers did you go for in the end?

Looks like you went over everything but did you check the droplinks to see if they are loose? I had lots of knocking for ages and it turned out to be them.

Same problem after fitting Bilstein B14's . All the arms , droplinks were changed and Tuesday I did ARB bushes from Powerflex .

I've now got to send the shock back to get it checked.

Are you going to advertise this on here once you've fixed it?

Maybe its the sound of his profit taking a knocking

Swapped springs over along with the collars .

No more noise .

just ordered a set bilstein b14
hope they are an improvement on the sub £200 ones the car came with fitted...
its mainly a bit more height i want so will set as high as i can
