Anyone painted their grills>

As the title, wondering if anyone has successfully painted their grills? I'm talking about the actual mesh and not the surrounds. Just wondering how it looks and if it holds, does the paint crack when getting the lower grills back in? Do you end up with more stone chips?? Having my bumper done next week and might give this a try.

Cheers.

yup all painted including lower intake grills as well as chrome trim and b/c pillars.#

Looks good see link to pictures below (don't get me started on how to load pictures up.......) - but yes does mean you'll get the odd chip - obviously no more than usual they just show up. Bit of touchup does the job though. No issues with cracking at all though.

Wicked! It really freshens up the front end. Currently it just looks dull. Is that a satin finish?

yes, satin - agree freshens it up and also makes it look a bit more modern. I'm often asked if my car is new/1-2 years old - no-one (unless its the occaisonal car buff) has any clue its 11 years old and dont belive me when I tell them - fact its only just clicked past 30K miles doesnt help convincing then

I but a bog hole in the lower grilles and painted them black. Not sure about it still so have a new set of grilles just in case.

Just plasti dip spray. Takes one day and mine is only looking a bit tired now after a year so I'm just going to reapply.

Recently thought about doing the black plastic on mine but was going to use adhesion promoter with a few light coats of laquer, mine hasn't really faded looks as new when it's wet so didn't think it would need any black...any thoughts?
