Revs not quite right
Revs not quite right
Hi all
When I put my foot down on the excelerater The revs go up as normal but then when I take my foot off the revs hangs there for couple seconds which doesn’t feel right, has anybody else had this problem,
Someone said it could be the clutch switch.
Advice much appreciated.

Re: Revs not quite right
We have the same problem - changed the switched no change changed the MAF sensor its fixed other things but not that
Re: Revs not quite right
Switches sorry
Re: Revs not quite right
It might be the PCV valve as it will have perished over the years, it's mounted under the carbon fibre RS engine cover.

Yes best way to test pvc is remove you oil filler cap with engine
Running if it bogs done and almost cuts out your valve if definitely faulty hope this helps

Re: Revs not quite right
No worries I know this cuz mines has failed last week so in the process of stripping down and carrying out carbon clean too
Also I have ordered spaces for inlet manifold that's ment to
Make a difference too so we will see

Did you find out what was wrong ?
Re: Revs not quite right

Revs not quite right
Based on my experience, yes it still bogs down some but far quicker recovery and although mine did not shut down engine when it failed/was replaced, it almost stalled. So before and after was still noticeable different, upon change.
