I'm looking for recommendations on renewing/replacing the front suspension arms.

Having searches the forum, other than OEM the names Lemforder and Meyer pop up, plus some adjustable arms from AwesomeGTI.

Which arms have you tried?

There are a couple of options for the adjustable arms;
034 Motorsport which are the ones you probably saw at Awesome. I have these on my car.
Stern Motorsport

I think there is a another company but I can't recall who a the moment.

They serve a purpose. The front felt better afterwards, much tighter even though they replaced arms that were less than 2 years old.
They are not easy to adjust though. Once.on the car to make any adjustment you.have to separate the arm, twist, then reconnect. You cant just adjust them while already fitted if you understand what I'm saying.

So did you get the use from the adjustable setup? Did it cure a problem you had with the standard arms?

Yes my car is lowered so had too much negative camber which made from front tyres wear very quickly; the inside edge would wear much quicker than the rest if the tyre. After fitting these I could adjust the front camber back to normal and stop my front tyres wearing so quickly. It also felt better to drive with the right camber than with too much.

My experience of 034 is the quality is poor. They failed after 18 months on my B5

Just FYI,

I run Eibach Pro adjustable arms, they tend to only be listed as a B8 part but they fit fine and avoid the exact problem discussed above for 034 (which I run everywhere else) so you can adjust in situ.

Mine had an MOT advisory that the lower front bushes were cracking. I've been thinking about doing the whole lot with the Meyle HD kit - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161657752433
Although it says it's for the 2.0 TDI, the kit number is correct - 116 050 0085/HD.

I think the arms are the same through the A4 range and some other Audis too. Nothing special about the RS4 here.

can't quite believe I read that right Mike

i run with suspension coilovers from D2, very good quality adjustable arms, but with all arms of this kind you need to service them once in a while so you keep the threads clean, otherwise they can get jamed and its a pain to get loose, also i just a few days ago swithed out the rest of the front suspension arms with new ones from meyle, really good quality, also changed both spindles, rides like new but even better:)
