You get insurance quotes for a B7 RS4 starting at £250! -
Went hunting this morning as my current provider (who already charged me close to £500 last year), wanted another close to £550 for nothing! Sub-4000 miles a year, 6 years no claims, me 39, bint 33, someone rammed her up the @rse long before I ever got to, in 2012.
Esure, Elephant, Admiral and Diamond all well below £300
Before you ask "Mods?", erm, cough.

Here in Dubai on "old" cars such as ours insurance is only third party and is a fixed cost of about 230 gbp regardless of your age.
No fire or theft cover either so you have to carry your own fire extinguisher.

I'm 28 and in sweden they want 5000euro per year..
Still have my car written on my dad, he gets away with 1200eur per year...
Just have to wait another year and a half. Insurance tend to go down by alot when turning 30.....

Yup, one of the privileges of age, you stop even thinking about insurance.
It really doesn't matter what the hell you drive, it's always £250 including business use and commuting (not that I do that these days).
I recall a while ago calling the insurer (Direct Line) about the premium on our daily runabout, which covered me, wife and all our 3 children (who moved out years ago) to see if taking any of the kids off would save anything.
They said, no way, you're already on our absolutely lowest premium, nowhere to go!
