Audi goodwill?

Post by Mat20vt » Mon Jan 09, 2017 8:03 pm

What will Audi cover in goodwill?
My oil cooler lines have corroded so I'm going to see what they will say.

Has anyone else managed to get money back from them?
If so, what did they pay out for?

As above, you are probably wasting your time. If its a very late registered 2009, and the car has full Audi history, and you have a very good relationship with one Audi dealer, I guess you have nothing to lose asking? You might catch a dealer employee in a good mood / who loves your RS4!

Audi via Vindis Huntingdon recently put just over £1000 goodwill towards full DRC line and shock replacement on my car (Dec 06).

That was just from asking nicely. I was pleasantly surprised, considering I bought it privately 4 years ago, although I do get it serviced and MOT'd there every year.

Still ouch, but less ouch than it could have been.

As you say, you can only ask...

Once I get it back from Mrc I'll call into local Audi and see where I get, unless I get a reply to my email.
I doubt I'll get a penny but why not try

Out of interest, how much did the full DRC line and shock replacement end up costing you?

Just under 3.5K.

Invoice amount before goodwill was 4.8K I think.

Apparently it gets expensive when the hard lines have to be replaced (mine had corroded and burst) because lots of stuff has to come off the car e.g. fuel tank.

I paid 2k for 3 shocks and 3 lines to be replaced at Unit20 as well as replacing the front top arms (parts and labour) and changing all 4 springs for KW adjustable ones (but not including price of KW springs as already paid previously)

Ouch! I'd be going with air at that price.
