continued starting issue
continued starting issue
hello and welcome to my issue
so from the start last year the rs had starting issues
replaced both relays = made no difference
replaced clutch switch = made no difference
replaced stater motor = made a massive difference
so all has been good car starts every time around 5 -6 months of perfect starting then it gets me again at a petrol station took 15-20 mins to finally start since then its been fine so any ideas what to check or have any of you lot had same problem but done something i havent ?
much appreciated

Re: continued starting issue
I have a brand new starter button I bought for a project that never happened if you want it Andy (I was going to get the button fabricated in some sort of metal and possibly laser etched).

I've had the exact same thing - Starter was replaced twice however...
Do you have any aftermarket alarm by any chance?

Re: continued starting issue
That's the next step in my saga, Audi say they have replaced everything on their side.
Re: continued starting issue
With mine as it stands its one time like every 200 starts that's what's annoying it may not do it for another 4 months
Re: continued starting issue
Yeah, mine was very sporadic so the garage never actually seen it happening so they couldn't trace it fully.
Re: continued starting issue
Mine has just started, (or not!), doing it.
Seems to be worse first start of the day, particularly when cold.
Took ages this morning, then re-started perfectly.

Re: continued starting issue
Mine was the polar opposite.
Only ever an issue when warm...

Re: continued starting issue
Mine did this, it was corrosion in the connector that goes into the back of the starter
