Fuel injectors

Post by Lukes3 » Wed Nov 16, 2016 11:38 pm

Dose anyone know if the injectors in our engines can be overhauled? As i know diesel injectors can be, but dont seem much of petrol.
Also if this is possable can anyone point me in the direction of a company that can do it?
Cheers.

It can be done, sure. Easier to find this service in the US for some reason, but I'm sure it exists around here.

I was told by my mechanic I had 2 of my injectors leaking fuel when I had cold running issues when I just got it. After some remaps and fitting an exhaust the car is perfect so I don't see the point messing with it. I did buy a set of brand new injectors (direct from Hitachi that makes them) but never fitted them. Would let them go pretty cheap at this point if anyone needs them.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.

Thats the same issue i am having from cold, but because i am going down the supercharger root i dont want any problems with the injectors.

Yes, you can get them ultrasonically cleaned and tested, that way the spray patterns will be better atomised and even across all cylinders. I was quoted about £250 with me doing the spannering and supplying the injectors.

Mr Injector has a good rep.

But I know he has been very busy lately moving premises.
