RNS-E - fitted Bluetooth now have whine through speakers?

Post by electricfurnace » Mon Nov 14, 2016 10:15 am

Fitted a genuine Audi bluetooth kit to my RNS-E in my B7 RS4.

Works fine but I now have a whine through the speakers which increases on accelerating?

Any ideas? Harness was plug and play. Sounds like a grounding issue?

Pulled out wire and grounded it a screw on back of head unit.
Something tells me this has something to do with it...

I had this a while ago & it was the amp that was causing the whine, try disconnecting it.
I disconnected mine & was gonna get a new one,but when I reconnected it the whine was gone, but it does come back from time to time.

Still whining! Really odd. Bluetooth harness issue maybe?

You can unplug the amp from the boot, its behind a removable pannel, drivers side, the lead has a red clamp that you need to unclip.
