Are all RS4 B7's manual transmission?

Post by Bucks108 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 10:04 pm

I've been looking at RS6 and RS4 Avants and all the B7 RS4's I've seen have been manual. Was it ever made with an auto box?

An auto B7???

That'd be like a vegan burger. Or a luxury all inclusive first class holiday, in Newcastle. Or a senior executive job, at BHS.

:jump:

Never the less, i wouldnt mind a automatic B7... Even been looking at options using the S4 B7 automatic transmission. But conclusion:
Easier rebuilding a S4 to RS4 than doing the RS4 into automatic

Maybe I'm just getting lazy. I totally agree with weekend cars being manual as its a much more engaging driving experience, but when you're crawling in traffic on the M6 there is something to be said for an auto.

I'm in the market for an RS6 but thought I'd broaden my search to RS4's, but if B7's are all manual I'll keep my search to RS6's. It'll be my daily drive so fancy an auto.

Cheers for the answers though gents.
