Steering wheel angle sensor heads up

Post by andyg72 » Sat Oct 15, 2016 8:01 am

so one day I was presented with the traction light on hmmm

had it scanned and fault code came back as the steering wheel angle sensor so the guys at midland vw ordered me one

£360 fitted :(

Any way so the new one was fitted took for a test drive and light came back on !

So off it came and another was ordered but before the original one was re fitted the tech guy cleaned up all the connections just in case .

Another test drive and bingo no light and it's not returned

So saved a bit of money and a little heads up for the next victim .

Good to know & always worth trying before replacing anything although I always seem to find it fixes the problem for a couple of days & then comes back...
