[VALUATION] Thinking of selling my B7 RS4.

Post by 99hjackson » Tue Oct 04, 2016 10:10 pm

Hi guys, unfortunately times are tough and as much as I dearly love my RS4, after just a few months its looking like It will have to go. Sad times but at 22 with a long commute the RS4 is proving a little more costly than imagined. That with now needing to get a mortgage and my first property means something has to give and unfortunately the car is it :'( Been an absolute pleasure to own and drive but think I will have to come back to a B7 later in life once the house is done and the finances a little more settled.

What do you guys think my car is worth? It's a 06 plate, 2006 B7 RS4 with 84K MIles, full history mixed Audi and specialist, recent MOT, recent service, new front tyres, carbon ceramic brake discs in as new condition. Heated leather recaros, Satnav etc.. All the usual toys.

Lovely Misano Red and car is in overall good condition, few minor scratches and such but nothing outside of the norm. Wheels are marked since when I bought it but all roll straight and true.

Any ideas what it would be worth I've no idea what to price it at and prices online are so horrendously mixed its difficult to know.

If you've only had it a few months then what you paid for it will be a good starting point.

You will answer your own question........

As a newbie , & bear in mind I've only owned one for
A few mths
I've seen em for 16k up to & beyond 20k ?
As above ask what you paid , & if it's still hanging about take a hit on it .
Also remember it's coming up to Xmas

Like I said, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and if you paid x amount for it then someone else might also pay x amount for it.

The wide variations in price is due to the varying condition of cars.

That's on the low side I'd say with 84k and ceramics. If it's the car i saw advertised In a garage it was around 17.5k they had a few there from memory.

Put it up for sale and see how you get on ,i've had no luck but then its my 3rd car and I'm not in any rush , I use the RS when I feel like it and the 330d gets used as the shopping car . when I find a replacement ill use Autotrader or pistonheads .

Now would be a good time as the Quattro + Winter

Think you should be asking around the £17450. Mark. I have mine up for sale at £17850 with 68000 miles. Which I think is cheap. If mines do sent sell am happy to put it away for the winter . Give it another 3/4 year I think they will increase. Am just running g out of room.

Harsh! With 100k and no FSH and no 'ramics maybe. Kerbed wheels are annoying. 1st March registration is a bonus - half price tax compared to the later ones. Buying an RS6 new, a difference in tax doesn't really come into the equation, but at the 10 year old / 15-16-17k end of the market it makes a difference imo. If there are two identical cars for sale at the same price, one March and one April, it definitely makes yours more appealing!

I've got mine up for £15k, yours is lower milage and has the brakes, I got a phone call last night from a dealer telling me it was far to much money and he would give me £10,500 for it... I think you can work out my answer. He went up to 13k, then when I said no, he told me he would come round in 4 weeks when I haven't sold it and take it for £10,000.... I'd rather burn it.

I think stick it up for what you paid, bare in mind it now has one more owner on the books. But I don't see these falling in value much more if at all.

Next time, just put the phone down at this point, there isn't any point in continuing the conversation. :beerchug:

Some dealers are brazen as hell and just don't give a sh!t - they are just chancers hoping on someone who is desperate for the cash and needs to sell asap
