New rs4

Post by rickster147 » Tue Sep 20, 2016 8:48 am

Just picked up my rs4 last week
And can say I'm loving it
Not sure why the pics won't upload tho
There's a few bits that I want to sort out

The exhaust flaps were stiff and wasn't working
So after a bit of wd40 and a screw driver they are now working for the mean time
The silver strip round the windows have gone white I tried autosol at weekend but hasn't done much so might get them sprayed does anyone know the colour?
Also I hate the yellow oem dlr bulbs what leds can I fit that are error free and what size are they
Car is totally standard except Bilstein suspension
Rs4 b7 In avus silver with b14 Bilstein coilovers, centre resonator delete with x pipe and piggie cats gutted
Headlights detangoed trups led kit drl reverse and numberplate kit

Previous audi
rs6 c5 - mrc stage 2 remap-itg filters-forge dumpers-center decat with miltek kw coilovers- h and r
I call her the growler lol

Sounds like a good excuse to black out your window trim to me.

have been thinking of blacking out my window trim as the silver is a little on the dull side. not sure how it would look on the cabriolet though with the other silver going all around the cabin
If it's a tabby cat, I'm ok with that. If it's a bit leopardy, I could be in jeopardy!

I'd get some very fine wire wool or scotchbright and some soapy water and go over it if it's the same material as the side window surrounds and roof bars. Then give it a good wax. If in time it dulls again then paint it...

You mean take the paint off and have a stainless finish?
Will look different to the mirrors tho won't it?

I was thinking of doing it all black, as the car is already black. ive seen it done on a yellow one. (I think a photoshop mock up would be the way to go forward)

If it's painted then no. But if it's the same finish as the other windows then it will work.Image
