Technically the light hasn't come on tho it did for one day so I'm not sure it's been triggered due to wear
Pads new have 10 mm

I would say I'm down to 4mm

OK cool , I'll give mines a measure, they must be close to new

I've had the warning come up a half dozen times over the last 18 months, so must be debris or something

I had my pads and Wear sensors replaced less than 1k ago after then doing around 40k. I was also getting random brake wear alarms. When the garage changed them they found corrosion on the connectors from the loom for the wear sensors, which is a common fault apparently.
As an independent specialist they carried out an 'Audi recommended repair' which is effectively a new plug with pins and spliced using solder sleeves. Not a problem since.

Yea that could well be what's happened I'll know more once I've taken them out and see the condition of them
