Yet another satisfied MRC customer
Took the breadvan down to the Banbury boys a couple of weeks ago for a health check, CC, manifold deflap and stage 2 remap. Took the train home and went down 2 days later to collect her.
What a bloody difference As many forum members have said on here before, the contrast is night and day. Logged 365ps before the work and 427 after, but the most noticeable improvement is the throttle response and the 5k 'kick'. It now feels like I think the car always should have felt, if that makes sense. And changed insurer to LV, who are charging me less with the mods than my old insurer without them
Can't speak highly enough of Doug and the guys. But then you all know that

Misano Red B7 RS4 Avant. 20" Rotors. KW adjustable spring kit. 8 & 10mm H&R spacers. MRC Stage 2 remap. Pre-cat delete & x-pipe.
Re: Yet another satisfied MRC customer
I so need to get this done. However spending nigh on 3 grand in mods on a garage queen isn't easy to justify. Perhaps if we have a get together, I may be swayed!!!
Re: Yet another satisfied MRC customer
Jay simple way to justify it... Just drive it more
Anytime you want to drive a stage 2, just shout buddy.

The work on mine was £1690. Does your estimated £3k include the mods Jay?jaysrs4 wrote:I so need to get this done. However spending nigh on 3 grand in mods on a garage queen isn't easy to justify. Perhaps if we have a get together, I may be swayed!!!

The big difference comes from the stage 2 map. For £550 (or whatever it is) it is worth doing now. Don't wait for years to go it then wish you'd done it sooner.

Agree, this part provided the biggest improvement. The health check was necessary too, but I was in two minds about the CC as I know it'll be coked up again in a few thousand milesMikeFish wrote:The big difference comes from the stage 2 map. Re: Yet another satisfied MRC customer
I wanted manifold ported, tumble flaps removed, pre-cats gutted, stage two and carbon clean. Last time I looked, I think all that came to the high side of 2k.Audi Pardner wrote:The work on mine was £1690. Does your estimated £3k include the mods Jay?jaysrs4 wrote:I so need to get this done. Re: Yet another satisfied MRC customer
Never mind all that, just get it mapped for now.
Re: Yet another satisfied MRC customer
Get it mapped now, then after the other mods you can have a map tweak for £150
