I use EBC Yellow Stuff pads.

I only had any squeal while they bedded in..... even then it was just while crawling with light town braking.

Re: Rs4 b7 brake pads
I know this question has been asked a million times and that the answers are all peoples personal preference but I did want to ask again but you have beat me to it. I need to replace mine too including disks (at least front) so was looking for some advice. My understanding was that people were very happy with Yellow Stuff. I am looking for something with low dust and no squeal. What are my options and what are other people running?
Re: Rs4 b7 brake pads
Also where are people getting their rear disks from? 840 quid at Stoke Audi and can't find them anywhere else - ebay or euro car parts...

Seattle-squash: Tell us more about the Hawks. I know they're popular in the US, but I only know of one UK supplier, so I don't think many people over here have tried them. Just noticed there's an ebay seller in Poland (99.9% feedback) that'll ship to the UK, and price works out about the same as the yellowstuff pads.Seattle-squash wrote:HAWK HPS
I hear they're low dust and good performance, but a few posters on audizine comment that they need to be warmed up when cold. I can see on this chart that they underperform OEM to about 100 deg F/ 38 deg C. So that'd be a minimal warmup required until they're working well then?

Just as a reminder to everyone as well, don't forget the importance of the fluid! Worth swapping out for some decent fluid if you're running on old or OEM fluid. RBF 600 in mine.

I have been very happy with them, low dust, no noise, seem to be easy on rotors, strong performance. I have no issue with warmup at all for me the grab right away however both Seattle/Dallas is warmer climate both been driving in the negative Celsius territory several time. The only thing I can feel is if you go a long time on the freeway in heavy rain with no break application you need a first engagement to get them clear/warmed up to get full bite. However, a rare condition and tough to expect them to be 100% in cold/wet condition like that. Let me know I can probably help you ship a set if you need to "simplify" custom as needed if you buy from US, pending how safe/consistent you feel your mail service is "if" declaring minimal value etc... Sure you know the game. Ship to Sweden all the time and yet to lose anything nor have to deal with customs and Sweden tend to dig into it if you declare it incorrectly. I would also install steel braided lines of you do t already have them, and easy and cheap upgrade, especially once doing fluid. AND they look sexy!FaisalJ wrote:Seattle-squash: Tell us more about the Hawks. If i'm not mistaken that picture of a pad is ebc green stuff witch is not recomended for an rs4 b7 or any car of similar weight
Re: Rs4 b7 brake pads
Great pads had them on all my cars , but are they missing the Wear sensor on the fronts for RS4 ??Rick_RS4 wrote:never had squeel off the ferodo
