Operation, Black optics

Got one side prepared and painted today, took a lot longer than i thought it would as it needs to be masked up with the doors open to get total coverage on the bottom of the trim that goes over the doors. In order to get the paint under the rubbers i used a special masking tape which has a plastic edge to it, this pushes under the rubber then you pull it back over and stick it down. This allows the paint to go neatly under the rubber.

Looks good.

I thought about doing this on mine but the masking etc just sounds like too much aggro, think I'm just going to pay someone to wrap mine!

Are you doing the roof rails as well?

Get this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191814211575
And wrap yourself. Takes around 2hours. And can be reverted easily

I bought this exact listing but could not get the ends of the trim neat.I tried heat but couldn't get it to stretch/mould around the ends. Im not looking to reverse it and can't see that many people like the chrome anyway.

Each to there own mate. To be honest I don't mind it on any other colour, I just think on black it's to much.
