Isn't it cheap because he uses that spray to help clean and saves loads of hard scrubbing which is where the cost comes from?

I thought the time was in the removal and replacment of the inlet manifold.
I thought the walnut blasting was pretty quick once in.

I believe MRC don't use walnuts, they scrub by hand hence the high cost.

Ah, I thought I'd read they did. May have facts wrong. I'll ask tomorrow when I pick it up.

Just got off the phone to SW Autos and it's a manual clean with manifold off.

They need the car for a day and a half.

Cost £414 Inc vat.

I asked about the spray and the chap i spoke to said no, it's a manual labour clean.

Unless what they mean is they may use the spray to help in loosening/ scrubbing the carbon off but I'll speak to them again closer to the time when I feel mine needs a carbon clean.

At £400 that's something no you could factor into your yearly or bi yearly servicing.

Totally agree. Very good value indeed and at this price you can easily incorporate it as a service item carried out every couple years.

This is what I understood, spray to help loosen the carbon and manually clean easier.

I would love to hear feedback from someone that's got SW to complete the work. I'm up for MOT in Oct which I would bundle with a service and probably a CC at that price. There's a few SW Auto's around, anyone got a link to their website.
