Interest in B7 RS4 Rear Diffuser?
Re: Interest in B7 RS4 Rear Diffuser?
Depends on the type of bonding. If it's something not permanent and can be removed in the future, I would prefer option 2. If however it's is still a replacement bumper come to sell the car, I see no reason not to chop chop. so option 1. Either way would be interested what ever the option!

Option 2 looks good to me, but I also don't mind modding the existing bumper as long as it fits well

Re: Interest in B7 RS4 Rear Diffuser?
OK... worked on this some more and (just to mix things up further) came up with "Option 2b"... (no Shakespeare reference).
This would be the easiest to fit (and would be fully reversible, when the time came to sell the car, etc.).
It involves creating 'just' a replacement centre section - replacement to the OEM honeycomb piece, that's clipped in place.
My thinking is that the diffuser 'fins' could wrap around and extend down below the valance, and be secured in place via the 3 OEM fixing points beneath.
Net result: it uses the OEM clips in the valance and the OEM fixing points beneath - no bonding or cutting up of the existing part, and can be reverted back to the OEM honeycomb at any point in the future.
Artist's impressions:
1. Intentionally contrasting colours to illustrate the design:
2. How it could look if it were all colour-coded the same (via wrap or Plastidip, if to be fully reversible, or else painted):
Basically - overall finish would be very similar to the original 'Option 2'
3. As above (colour-coded), but the design details emphasised:
As before, your thoughts/preference?

I liked option 1 and I have two spare bumpers if you need one to work on.
That's the original option on e these on just look tame and pointless to be honest.

Option 1 looks spot on
Re: Interest in B7 RS4 Rear Diffuser?
Feels as though Option 1 is the overall favourite.

My take is that options 2, 2b, 3 all look pretty good but are a bit of a compromise to make it possible to remove the diffuser.
However, if it looks as good as option 1, why would you ever want to remove it!

Well said
Re: Interest in B7 RS4 Rear Diffuser?
Although some are happy to make this a body Shop fit , & probably best looking option .
To me it would be best as bolt on .
More of a market for that , plastic or carbon material
Just a replacement part for bumper grill
& a Piece of cake to fit ...or make both options lol

I agree, it surely is more marketable and easier for people to do if it's a straight bolt on solution#1Rs4 wrote:Although some are happy to make this a body shop fit , & probably best looking option .

Please include me.
I much prefer bolt on applications without cutting. I also like a more aggressive look.
