Jit's RS4 OEM Plus build

Post by J1TVV » Mon Jun 13, 2016 3:37 pm

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a build thread to record problems and mods done to the car.

It's a 2007 Audi RS4 Cabriolet with 63,000 miles Black on black.

I bought the car in early January 2016 totally standard, I like doing Mods that look like it came from the factory like that OEM plus.

So far only done a few normal mods :

led number plate lights,
Led interior lights
led side lights
Installed a Aux in connector that you can use via the CD port, surprisingly improves the sound quality of the Bose speakers.
20in 9.5J OEM RS6 wheels made by Speedline.
12mm Spacers.
KW height adjustable Springs that are being fitted by CAMSPEC tomorrow, 14/06/16.

Recently I have started experiencing the sticking clutch pedal issues after using the car as suppose to! I have been searching on here of what it maybe, will ask CAMSPEC to take a look when it's in there tomorrow suspect it's the flexy pipe issue and worn clutch maybe as I get a little rudder when pulling away, and the clutch biting point is quite low on the pedal. If it turns out to be clutch I will get it all replaced

Clutch kit
DMF (from the US)
Slave cylinder
Master cylinder
The updated pipe from Audi.

Planned future mods:

MRC Stage 2 Remap
Pre cat gut
Stage 2 manifold
Carbon clean (I know it's a waste of time as it will get dirty again)
Centre resonator removal, replaced with a x pipe

Pics added tomorrow once springs are fitted.

Cheers

Jit.

As above Rule 1! don't see too many cabs, you've listed clutch kit but have you replaced clutch itself?
Sprint Blue B7 RS4 - Black/Titanium optics, Anthracite OEM 19's, De-resonated OEM Exhaust, TTRS FBSW, MRC Stage 2 De-flapped manifold, Full Carbon Clean, MRC Stage 2 Re-map, 431.5 BHP...... must...not...spend....more...

Im aware of what the clutch kit is........ :assflash:

but you mentioned a sticking pedal so my question was have you replaced the clutch itself or flywheel yet?

Sorry Toby! Didn't mean any disrespect!

No not yet, looks like its the flexy pipe causing the issue, but i am having Camspec quote me for a replacement of:

Clutch kit
DMF
Master and slave cylinder
Flexy pipe of course!

Once car is 100% let the engine mods begin!!

You talking about the stage 2 map? The sport mode is like a day and night difference.

Yes Mike. And I have heard that, although I already think my sport mode is quite different to the standard drive so I am intrigued as to how much of an improvement it'll be?!!
