B7 RS4 Tyre pressures

Recommended is 35r 38f
I tend to run that

However.. More air can mean very slightly better handling on twisties but unless you are michael schumacher (as was) I wouldnt bother.

Dont go over 37, 40

I run 34r 37f and they increase under heat to around 35-36 and 38 under driving which i find works well.

Lots of forum guys say 40 psi but surely that's too much as when I put 40 in mine it was ripping chunks out the centre of the tread due to put new tyres on so a good all round pressure would be good to know and I do drive her hard

Sounds like you're putting in 40 cold, if so, that does seem too much.

+1

I've been running PSS for the last 2 years (on my second set now) and don't see any reason not to use the pressures shown on the label in the drivers side B pillar.

I've been running PSS for the last 20k and have just replaced the last two rears.. I run 31R 33F and have done through the life of the tyre.

Tread wear has been very even over the tyre and the pressures i run feel like a good compromise between NVH and performance. 36-38 seems too harsh in terms of NVH and are a little skittish over certain surfaces i find.. I wouldn't ever run that high.

My opinion! I don't see the argument for pressures in the high 30s.

XL = eXtra Load - which the RS4 needs due to the axle weights. Means you need 96 weight rating tyres not the standard 92 weight rating.

M+S = Mud and Snow i.e. Winter tyres
