H&R lowering springs??

Post by kernowrs4 » Sun Apr 24, 2016 11:30 pm

So ive been offered a brand new set of 40mmH&R lowering springs for only £100.

having searched on here for how low people go and whether this will rub a lot I haven't really been able to find any decent information to help with my decision to take these or not,

is a B7 2007 saloon on standard rims with standard sized tyres, was maybe thinking of going down the 8mm front and 10mm rear spacers but wanted to ask first whether

1. would this rub without adding the spacers into the equation?
and
2. will it definitely rub with the added spacers?

I don't really take anymore than two maybe three people in the car ( 3 hardly ever)

cheers Guys

1. No
2. Yes
FYI, your car will understeer even more with wider spacers at the back than the front.

Cheers buddy!

would they still rub with 8mm spacers all round ?

if that's the case then might give the springs a miss and try and get a set of 25mm springs ?

I would say yes if lowered, but I'm sure someone on here has done the same mod.
Spacers, different tyres, lowering, 20" alloys etc all give problems, but when you get your mods right it's great.
Good luck and post some photos.
