Welcome Mate, Great Car!!

At 21 I'd just come out of my Impreza Turbo R272 DCW (Had it from new, max power car!, and men & motors with Jordan/Katie!!), and just picked up my brand new RS4 B5 Avus Silver X404NUB

Jesus. I was £1300 to insure a 1.9 Peugeot 205 diesel in my day (17 yrs). Good effort at 21 owning a B7. Enjoy.

Kieran what a great looking car and a busy driveway/ head of hair. I am enjoying your thread as much as for what you are doing today as some of what the old boys like me were doing at your age. At 21 I had sold two auction Capris and bought a 5 owner 1.6 205 GTi. I next bought a new 1.9 then a 3000 mile Lotus Elan. I ate Pot Noodle and Pasta Choice to help pay for running the car.

As you're a mechanic, quite likely you already know this, but worth a mention anyway: be careful re-oiling the K&N, don't over-oil, as our MAFs don't like to eat oily air.

Cheers iduff I realised that I needed to be careful for that reason don't want oil vapours or even oil going anywhere near the MAF! cheers for the heads up though :)

Lovely! You should have the trim wrapped to black optics. Looks amazing on Avus. It will make for a completely different car. I almost bought one like that in 2008 and it was snatched up by somebody 1hr before making the call to confirm!!

Nice! I'm a big fan of L8AU too!

I agree with Zooyorker90 - I'd be looking at that silver trim next.

Then, the mirrors will stand out...

You can see how this goes...
