Your options are stick with the DRC and pay to have it re-pressurised at MRC, or pay to replace the whole DRC set up with coilovers.

Hey Dan. That actually doesn't sound too bad compared to some DRC repair costs I've seen mentioned on this forum. I'm sure some others more knowledgeable about the DRC system will reply with more useful info. My car has coilovers (KW v3) so I haven't had any dealings with the DRC.

Got to ask though - Why are you shouting at us??

+1
When I needed one shock and the valve block replaced the local Audi dealer charged me nearly £1200 - so the price Dan has been quoted seems very cheap to me.

+1 again
ALL CAPS on any forum is shouting, and is bad manners.

ok thanks for tips
stressing I am getting married in aug so all my cash goes out at the mo,

that price just to refill I will be replacing the shock,

just working it out this one shock and refill is half the price of a set of coilovers.
my luck will be the other sock will go then.

so looked at coilovers anyone recommend bilstein coilovers seen them for about 900£

thanks for help people

I had one of my DRC pipes go recently and they charged £150 for the re-pressurise, seems the machine to do it is really expensive so they hire one in when needed

Where are you based?

When I had my drc checked by Stoke Audi in Jan this year, they charged me £120 to de and re pressurise. Unit20 want £150 for the same thing which I don't get as Audi labour is more expensive
