Upgrading to flat bottomed wheel. Which one?

At risk of sending the testosterone kid (you know who you are...) into overdrive might I ask for some help in choosing the new steering wheel?

As you can see my pride and joy is in red with the piano black interior and light cream leather (and black hood). I have the standard steering wheel with controls and the sports button mounted on the dash. I am quite happy with the sports button where it is and the Milltek (non resonated and valved) exhaust is superb enough to work well with the sports button as it is.

Do I go for the aluminium effect (I am told the aluminium on the steering wheel is actually plastic) flat bottomed wheel as in the picture and have the sports control function moved onto the button on the wheel or do I have the later style red stitching leather wheel and leave the sports button alone.

I rather like the later wheel and the red stitching but always like a view from the boys!

If you would keep views reasonably on topic boys as I have heard from the testosterone kid about double bagging and spanked wasp and all that but us ladies on here (are there any others?) need to provide a little sassy input every now and again don't you agree?....

Can't tell how flat the bottom is from the last side on picture. Probably need a full rear shot to confirm!

If you had an otherwise standard car I'd say go for the OEM flat bottom wheel.
However, as you don't and you already have the multi-function functionality I'd go for a later style wheel.
I wouldn't go for an S4 wheel as it is not as thick as an RS wheel, and who doesn't like a bit of girth!
Try finding a TT-RS wheel. You preferably need an RS wheel, but also need it to have come from a manual car so that limits your choices somewhat (to just the TT-RS and maybe an R8 I think).

Now for the double entendres I'll will divert you to the US spec number plate plinth thread. I could have had a field day on that one. Not sure if the innuendo went over your head or you chose to ignore it (asking for photos of your rear end, then your Euro front). Then robnic talking added 'any chance of a picture.. a smooth one with the two strips (upper & lower) but that one has no holes, I haven't been able to work out what the part number is for smooth with holes'. I kid you not he said that (almost).

Good on you for getting the photos out again. I don't care what the rest of these fellas say you can't have enough photos of members and their aRS-es.

If you like the sport button where it is then go for the later style but as mentioned look for an RS one so its fatter.

Now off topic........ Loving the ink

I thought that at first, but isn't it a patterned stocking rather than a leg long tatt?

Shhh...RIV had gotten away with it!

I didn't think robnic's one was meant as an innuendo but I could be wrong!

Then it was a wasted comment...

Thank you all for your comments. I agree the S4 wheel looks a little modern for my car but I find the aluminium effect one a little old fashioned if I am honest. The TTRS one pictured I quite like so I am going to have a look around for one of those I think?

As for the innuendo both here and on the Euro/US Spec, well, I'm enjoying all that (as are you boys/lads who are clearly patting yourselves on your own backs are too) but it's not quite up to my mark for a reply - yet...keep going boys! :bigblink:

Lady P - you're just upset that we're all patting ourselves on the back about cracking jokes about your photos, instead of rubbing one out.
Tits or GTFO.
