Clutch Clicking
I have noticed that my B7 has a clicking noise when pressing down the clutch. It has had a new clutch from Audi last year.
I have done a search and I have read mixed results from owners. Some sat its normal wheras others say that its an issue with the clutch switch? Can anybody shed any light?

Re: Clutch Clicking
Mine doesn't have a noticeable click, but there are 2 clutch switches connected to the pedal; one to detect the pedal fully up and one to detect it fully down.
Have you tried pressing it with your hand while looking at the switches to see if it is one of them causing the click?
Is it clicking near the top or bottom of its travel?

Re: Clutch Clicking
I haven't yet tried it by hand but it's definitely at the lower end of the clutch travel.
Clutch is silky smooth except for the clicking.

I have had this before too.
Have a feeling it was the lower switch. Since changed both as one had failed and its fine now.
I presume your car starts with 1 press of the button and the cruise control operates fine?

Re: Clutch Clicking
Yep starts on the button (no pun intended) and cruise works perfectly too
Should I change the switch? Or will a simple grease up do the job?

Mine has the exact same issue... i find that once i have been driving it for about 20 mins it pretty much disappears, until next time i drive it... and mine had a new clutch and up-rated hose about three months ago.

I have just driven it today and I have noticed that after a short while the clicking dissapears. Very strange.
Was the new clutch changed at Audi?
Re: Clutch Clicking
No, it was done by the garage i purchased the car from with an original clutch. it does feel like the click / resistance is coming from the pedal area though, and not the actual clutch mechanism near the gearbox.
