Grill badge

Post by mustdash » Fri Jan 29, 2016 4:28 pm

Anyone have any idea how the front grill badge is affixed - is it part of the grill, clipped on or stuck on? I've lost the 'S' from the 'RS4' so need to replace it. I've had a quick look in the pissing rain this afternoon and cant really tell.....

Its pressed in with several hook type latches.
If you pry it out it will break unfortunately, you will need to get the grille right off to release it safely.
Or.... buy another and just break it out.

Sorry.... read the post properly.....
The RS4 badge is fixed on with two metal spring clips..... you could try gently prising it off but the clips will ping off and disappear.

I would go on ebay for a genuine new one and replace it completely

Got mine off without breaking the clips but it was knackered anyway so didn't really matter. New one was £22 from TPS.

Just checked and pistolpete's part no is correct. It cost me £20.78 in Jan 2014.

I need one too. Mine lost the 4. I found it later in the day on the driveway but I'd already driven over it! Another trip to TPS for me next week.

They pull off, put a finger through the grill either side and you will feel how its clipped on. I have a spare as the one on my car is black the spare standard.
