Are the Tubi's the normal ones or the loud ones?

Pretty sure mine were the 'standard' Tubis, and I would recommend people buy and RS4 just for the opportunity to have that exhaust on their car.

I had the non rumore tubis on mine and they were a nice middle ground between being too loud and too quiet.

I've got a Milltek but I'm going off it fast. I wish I modified my standard exhaust.

I had the Tubi Rumore and whilst it sounded great it just was too noisy. My modified standard exhaust is the perfect one for me now.

Mike, how is your modified standard exhaust for drone?

The old bus is back to running the stock set-up with the valves capped off and although it sounds really good it could do with just being a little louder.

Briefly tried a set-up with an x-pipe but it just killed the lovely sound of the V8 at low revs, the car sounded like a straight 6 BMW so it came off again the next day. It was a non-res system which sounded epic on the overrun but the drone was terrible. Granted, I could have changed my driving style to get around that but I want something that sounds nice when just driving around town at low revs.

Currently my options are to modify the standard system by removing the centre silencers or to fit a Tubi (non-rumore) to the unmodified stock setup.

Yes agreed non res sounds mean when you get on it!
The drone literally gave me headaches .got sick of trying to zone it out ...have res know , slight drone is there
But no headaches
I have considered stock back on too
Maybe in classifieds for my milltek in new year

I've currently got a non res miltek on mine without valves. It's a third car so doesn't do many miles but the drone is too much to live with. I'm booked in for a valved jc weldfab on 18th Jan. Hopefully louder and quieter.

I had a non-res valved Milltek but couldn't live with the drone so I got the centre section changed to a res one.

If anyone wants the 2 non-res Milltek centre sections then they're hanging in my garage needing a good home, free if you collect... PM me if interested.

I am thinking of doing this with my non resonated centre sections too... did it reduce the drone a lot? mine is ridiculous between 1000 and 2000 rpm.
