Hi,

After a 50 mile journey last night my EPC light decided to come on and restrict the power output. This included the Engine Management light I pulled over and switches off the ignition and then restarted but still there.

Went down this morning and started the old girl and the EPC has gone off but the engine management light is still illuminated!! I purchased a VAG CCOM USB cable (HEX & CAN) from ebay a little while ago (Ross Tech original cable) and downloaded the software from the Ross Tech site but when I connect it up the light changes from amber to green on the cable but it does not find the interface??? any ideas greatly received??

Did you turn the ignition on? It won't find the interface without that.

Have you done the Options | Test | Save bit on the interface once it's plugged into a running car? Nothing happens with VCDS until you do that.

yes ignition on and option test is where I am getting the interface not found error. really annoying as I want to find out the error and reset!

I wonder if the fuse that supplies power to the OBD socket is blown - or has been removed?

Hi guys I'm getting the same issue started with the doc light coming on was intermittent comes on then goes off had it plugged in to check and it came up with this

Any one had this issue ? Is this just a sensor issue ? Now the engine light is also on constant and the epc comes and then off !!
Any ideas much appreciated
