Throttle body recalibration/alignment...

Ladies and Gents,
I'm sure you all know about this, found it on another Audi forum, tried it and it's made a massive difference...
Mine's due for a service in 4000 miles, but noticed it has been popping a bit on cold startup and hunting a bit whilst idling to get up to temp.
Throttle Body Alignment:
1. Put in the key and turn it into the position ready to start the car (do not start the car).
2. Push the gas peddle all the way to the floor and wait 3 seconds (you should hear a whirring sound like an electrical motor sound).
3. Turn the key all the way back to the off position, but do not take it out, with your foot still on the gas peddle.
4. Now release the gas peddle and wait 2 minutes!!
5. Remove key than put it back in and start the car.
You should notice a better response while pressing the gas peddle and no more lumpy idle. Do this once every few weeks.
This was posted for a 1.8T but was suggested it would work for most other models. It worked for me and no popping or hunting anymore. Apparently this is what Audi dealers do as part of service. Apologies if this has been posted before but couldn't find it in a search
Cheers
Martin
