Nice sounds!

Post by iduff » Mon Nov 16, 2015 4:18 am

My non-resonated Milltek managed to set off the alarm of a lifted and pimped Toyota pickup parked right behind me at the local home improvement store today. Very entertaining!

Underground parkings at the worst. I set off an alarm like 10 cars over to the right the other day.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

This is one of those things that would annoy the hell out of me if it was my car's alarm being set off, but I can't help laugh at the thought of doing it!

Not as much as they'll be pissed off for having to drive a chrysler voyager though.

This is something I used to do regular when I was younger with both exhausts and car stereos.
Haven't done in it years though even though my car a couple of years ago was probably the loudest thing I've ever owned (louder than my Chevvy V8 with no cat / silencers and short side exit pipes). I think this is because since moving out of London I don't drive down so many narrow roads with parked cars, but as it stopped happening to me before such time I think this is mainly due to the lack of badly set-up aftermarket alarms that were so popular in the 90's.

My wife's Golf GTi Edition 30 occasionally gets scarred and sounds its alarm when I reverse into the garage.
