In a bit of a quandary with my B7 RS4 - EPC issue.
Re: In a bit of a quandary with my B7 RS4 - EPC issue.
Right guys I have an update, have just ordered one of the code scanners will report back with my findings when it arrives.

Right guys I have taken delivery of a Foxwell NT500, instructions look a bit complicated, does anyone who owns one of these know if you can just read the fault codes but not reset anything? As that is what I initially would like to do.
Many thanks in advance for any people with this units advice.

I've had a similar issue that is going to be checked out when I'm back from a business trip in December but I have done a VCDS scan which showed fault 00547 angle sensor 2 for throttle. Told it could be the wiring as its a known issue apparently due to excessive heat or some such. Happened to the previous owner and Audi fixed it by replacement I am told. May be something to look at for you too.

Many thanks for the advice buddy! Will check for that code once I find out for sure if the unit can just read the codes and not erase them.njp wrote:I've had a similar issue that is going to be checked out when I'm back from a business trip in December but I have done a VCDS scan which showed fault 00547 angle sensor 2 for throttle. I don't have the EPC light on though, but it's maybe worth a try as it's free!
Cheers

The thing is that with the EPC light on as it has been now for quite a while the throttle response is superb, I am worried about it resetting and going back to being sluggish again. My car appears to be very temperamental.

Well I have finally got around to reading the codes and have come up with the following, this was the common scan, I will do a more detailed one soon. Can anyone shed any light on these please?:

03-ABS Brakes 18265 Load Signal: Error Message from ECU : P1857
37-Navigation 02444 Disk Drive Load Eject Malfunction - static - Value of resistance too great
