Been gone for a while
Still miss the RS4 and consider it a great car (even miss some of you gents, where's bam bam?) lol
But the new whip has its charms

Oh no! It does have DI lol
Still in break-in so haven't pushed it yet

Turn off the systems and I'm guessing it would sit still and spin the tires into smoke

It is a nice car
Is it 'better' than similar cars in its class? Nope, just different
Each has strengths and weaknesses

If we got the B8 RS4 here it may have topped the list

Nice Merc, my only problem when I drove it was the tablet that's glued to the dash and I kept incidentally hitting some buttons when resting my right arm in the center. Not my cup of tea even though the rest of the interior is excellent.

Superb engine.

Agreed it is goofy
Should have made it a detachable ipad type device

Lots of gadgets that will seldom be used

The engine
No hint of 'turbo'
Feels like a big na V8
Peak torque at 1750 rpm, barely off idle, ~15% into the operating range

I keep reaching for a console mntd shifter lol
Much better fuel efficiency than the previous, avg 18-19 vs 24-25

Not enough seat time to really pass judgement
But I will say rides great, precise steerring, low roll in sport mode
Very quiet
Nice exhaust sound
Good throttle response but not as good as the RS4 or w204 C63
Tranny is much better than my older version, quicker and better response to inputs
